Bill wasn't exactly sure what was going on. Will'd just grabbed his hand and told him to pack quickly. Something was tied around her leg but he didn't know what it was or why it was there. He just knew that she had been in some hurry to get out of that house. They hadn't stopped traveling in days, not even to eat.
Before he could figure out what was going on, Will was knocking on some mansions door. He had no idea. But he trusted his sister with his life, even if everyone thought he was crazy for it. So what if she had spent ten years in prison. She was his twin, he'd go anywhere she wanted him too. Unlike their mother, she probably cared if he ate. Besides, she was the reason he could see.
Speaking of seeing, she wasn't radiating as much of a pulse as she normally did. Bill could see his sister's heartbeat. A heartbeat in any human or mutant was triggered by a small electrical shock to the heart. That's why some heart patient's needed pacemakers. Their own little 'tickers' sent out irregular shocks and the pace mater was to make it normal again. Will's electrical shock to her own heart was about ten times that of a normal persons. It came with being the big ball of energy. And Bill could see because of it.
Will's heartbeat was what cause Bill to see and he was grateful for it. When she was gone, he could see nothing. He was blind, truly blind for the first time. If he was even remotely near his sister he could see her heartbeat and it was like a sonar for him. It was difficult to explain, but it definitely confused a lot of people, a blind guy walking around like he could see. And he looked like it, because he could. It was nice. Being able to see.
"Bill?"
Bill's head snapped over to his sister. Seriously, her pulse was lower than he'd ever seen it. He should be slightly concerned right about now. But for some reason he wasn't. She'd always gotten through stuff like this before, he just couldn't understand what was going on now. She wasn't telling him anything. Stupid sister, he cared, even if he didn't speak much. Bill grunted his attention.
Pain spread through Will's leg. d**n woman had to stab her. Luckily she'd been drunk and missed a major artery. But Will needed a new bandage and she'd run out of extra shirt to rip up. She was waiting for someone to answer the bloody door. It really was bloody, her blood was on her hand from applying pressure. It wasn't that Will wanted the medical attention, in fact that would be the worst thing possible. She just wanted to get inside after four days of nonstop travel.
"Bill..." she muttered again. "Give me your shirt."
"Excuse me?"
"You heard me, hand over the shirt." She didn't have time for this. She needed to switch bandages out and apply fresh pressure. Eventually it would stop bleeding, like when she stopped walking on it.
Okay... maybe he shouldn't trust his sister unconditionally. She wanted his shirt. Well he wasn't exactly sure where his backup shirt was in his pack. So off came the shirt form his back, handing it over to his sister Bill blinked. Well this was going to be interesting.
Finally. "Thank you," she muttered tersely. Ripping the shirt into strips methodically she took off the current bandage wrapped around her thigh and replaced them. Tucking the blood soaked strips into her lightweight backpack she turned to the door and stood there... waiting. She heard her brother sigh. Will couldn't tell if it was out of annoyance or thankfulness.
(it's not up to par i know. but hey i'm still figuring this thing out for posting for two people. i don't know if i'll be able to get as deep into the post as i'll want to.. d**n.. they might become really superficial. that would not be good)
